Mars Studio’s Design Process

When you engage someone to carry out work for you it’s good to know what to expect. Here is our product development cycle.

Design brief

"
Obtain the brief from you, the client.
Identify all your design elements and
expectations moving forward.

Concept Design

"
Provide several concepts in agreed format (sketch, render images or animation). You will be given different options and solutions to choose from, to meet your quality and budget requirements

Costing Estimate

"
Provide cost estimates to your chosen concepts. A good reference for both parties in the decision -making process, regarding the feasibility (cost-wise) of achieving the initial design brief and a guide to alter the design brief if necessary.

Engineering Prototyping

"
Engineer the chosen concept and produce one or more prototype(s). This highly valuable stage is essential, to test the design to make sure it works. At this stage, we collaborate with you closely to exchange ideas and discuss any possible issues with/amendments to the design.
We take this opportunity to double-check that your budget, design requirements and timelines are achievable.

Prototype Approval

"
Obtain your approval for the prototype, taking into account any modifications or changes. Depending on the complexity of the project, several prototypes may be made before final approval is granted.

Design Refinery

"
At this stage, any refinements or modifications are made, according to your feedback. All parts will be engineered and detailed for production specs.

Production

"
Production takes place locally or overseas, depending on factors such as timing, budget and the scope of the project.
We liaise with the manufacturer throughout the whole process, to conduct production sample approval, assembly, quality control and shipment of the projects.

Shipping

"
Goods are shipped to the agreed destination (e.g.nominated port, client’s warehouse, etc), from a local manufacturer or from overseas. Air freight or sea freight will be used if required, as per client’s request.

Installation

Attend your site and install your product on request, if necessary, or we can collaborate with you to make sure the installation is carried out correctly.
